What this website is
Information about the water filtration systems we sell and install, and general guidance about water quality in the Greater Milwaukee area. It is not a contract, not a quote, and not professional advice about your particular home.
Anything we publish about pricing, availability, specifications or offers may change without notice. A binding quote comes from us in writing after we have seen your water and your plumbing.
Prices shown on this website
Prices on this website — including “from $3,850” for the QWS Flex 4V.1 — assume a standard installation: about two hours, fitted where the water supply enters the house, with no additional internal plumbing, reasonable access to that point, and a working 120 V outlet nearby.
At that price you receive the system, the standard installation and your first year of cartridges. It does not include optional ultraviolet purification or leak monitoring, cartridge sets after that first year, or work beyond a standard installation — rerouting pipework, electrical work, restricted access, or a well pressure tank needing attention. Unless your written quote says otherwise, published prices also exclude sales tax and any municipal permit or inspection fee.
Where extra work is needed we tell you the figure in writing before any work begins, and you are free to decline. The price is written as “from” for exactly this reason. Prices may change without notice, and the price that applies to you is the one in your written quote — not the one on this page.
What our systems do — and what we don’t claim
Certification of materials is not certification of performance. The QWS Flex 4V.1 holds the WQA Gold Seal to NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 (the system’s own materials don’t leach into your water) and NSF/ANSI/CAN 372 (its wetted parts are lead-free). Those certify what the system is made of.
They are not contaminant-reduction ratings, and the NSF 61 certificate says so in its own words: products certified to it “have not been tested or evaluated for contaminant reduction performance.”
What a system removes depends on which cartridges are fitted, and contaminant reduction is certified separately — under NSF/ANSI 42, 53 or 55, against a specific cartridge in a specific configuration. Ask us and we will give you the certificate for the filter we are actually proposing.
Real-world performance also depends on your water chemistry, incoming pressure and temperature, household demand, correct installation, and replacing cartridges on schedule. Laboratory conditions are not your basement.
Lead service lines
Filtration is not a substitute for replacing a lead service line. We say this on our guides and we mean it here too. Replacement is the permanent fix. Filtration can reduce exposure in the meantime, but it does not remove the pipe, and we make no claim that it makes a lead service line safe.
If lead is your concern, have your water tested by a certified laboratory and speak to your village about its inventory and replacement schedule.
Not health or medical advice
Nothing on this site is medical advice, and our systems are not medical devices. We do not claim they diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition. If you have a health concern related to your drinking water, speak to a doctor and to your public health department.
Third-party information and links
We link to independent sources — the EWG Tap Water Database published by the Environmental Working Group, municipal utilities, village inventories, EPA and Wisconsin DNR guidance. Those organisations are not affiliated with us and have not endorsed us.
Their data is theirs. We don’t control it, can’t vouch for its accuracy or currency, and a link is not an endorsement in either direction. Where we summarise public information — costs, timelines, programme details — we do our best to get it right, but verify anything that matters with your own village or utility before acting on it.
Warranty
Product warranties are provided by the manufacturer and supplied with your system. Our installation workmanship is covered separately. Warranty terms are given to you in writing before purchase — ask for them, from us or from anyone else you are considering.
Nothing on this website extends, varies or replaces those written terms.
Free water test
The in-home water test is included with the purchase of a Stonehouse Protect filtration system. It is an assessment to size and configure a system, not a certified laboratory analysis. If you need results you can rely on for a legal, real-estate or medical purpose, use a certified laboratory — ask us and we’ll point you to one.
Service area
The installation included in our published prices applies within our stated Greater Milwaukee service area and may be limited by site conditions. Outside it, call and we will tell you honestly whether we can reach you.
